Julie has been the CFO since the inception of the trust and is a fully qualified AAT, part qualified ACCA and has a BA (Hons) in School Business Management.  Julie has extensive experience in school finance, having worked as an auditor and a peripatetic bursar across primary, secondary and special schools across Calderdale. She was Business Manager at a large Secondary (with 6th form) for 12 years, on the Senior Leadership Team, gaining a wealth of experience in all aspects of school business management including PFI contracts, management of large capital projects and whole school restructuring.  She led the academy conversion process to single academy status in 2014 and was heavily involved in the conversion to multi academy status working closely with the legal team. 

Julie still continues to support some local feeder schools, in addition to primary schools within the trust with all aspects of financial management.  Julie has been on many steering groups relating to financial policies and formula funding and is a member of Calderdale School Forum, she regularly speaks at the Calderdale Chair of Governors Finance meetings for the LA. 

In the role of CFO, Julie believes in collaboration and consultation with all the schools in the trust and has created both a Finance group and a HR strategy group.  These groups meet regularly and are made up of business managers, administrators and HR Managers across the schools in the trust and have proved successful.
