Liam joined the Trust in April 2025 as the Chief Financial Officer.

He is a qualified accountant (ACCA) with nearly 20 years post qualified experience, holding a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accountancy and an MSc in Professional Accountancy. He has worked in the education sector for over 15 years, beginning in the local authority school team and then moving to work in a maintained school before joining the academy sector, where he has worked with a range of Academy Trusts. Liams experience in the sector includes all phases; primary, secondary, special and a 6th form college.

Liam leads the finance function and is experienced in supporting schools to maximise their funding whilst minimising their financial risks, ensuring they meet their regulatory requirements. During his time working with schools. He has held business management and operational positions and has completed the CSBM and DSBM qualifications. His operational knowledge of schools and the academy sector allows him to work with leadership teams to produce sustainable budgets that work to drive strong outcomes for the children in the Trust.

Liam is passionate about working in the education sector, he enjoys the variety of the role and being able to work with a team of multi disciplined professionals. We are thrilled to have him on board.
