Jo Beardwell's professional journey is characterised by her dedication to supporting the educational community, marked by a diverse career spanning over two decades. Her unique path has taken her through a range of roles, from Logistics to Administration and Governance.

With a robust 16-year career in Logistics, Jo's roles included serving as an Admin Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, and Project Manager. However, she made a significant decision to transition to part-time administration work to spend more time raising her young family.

Jo's commitment to the education sector became evident during her 9-year tenure at Kirklees Council Children & Young Peoples Service, where she lent her administrative skills to the cause. She further solidified her presence in the sector by transitioning to a Primary School in Halifax, where she spent 6 years in the school admin office. Her role encompassed providing essential HR support for recruitment and induction processes, further demonstrating her commitment to the educational community.

In June 2023, Jo made a significant move by joining the trust as a Business Support Manager. Her primary focus revolves around supporting the governing bodies across all of our schools, where her wealth of knowledge and experience are poised to make a significant impact.

Jo's dedication to governance is not confined to her professional career; she brings 14 years of experience as a governor at two different primary schools. Of these, she served as a Chair for five years, which underscores her passion and leadership capabilities in the realm of education.

Jo is excited to harness her extensive experience and knowledge gained through her governance roles, applying them effectively in her new role at the Together Learning Trust. Her career journey exemplifies her unwavering dedication to the educational community, and her role as a Business Support Manager promises to further enhance the educational landscape for the betterment of all students
